raquel frameShe has amazing talent, a silky voice, impressive versatility and elegant personality- these accolades could best describe Ghana’s new sensation Raquel Ammah who believes she has the magic touch to bring revolution into the Ghanaian music industry.

Appearing on the Rundown on Wednesday night for the first time, the soft but well-spoken artiste expressed her readiness to take the music industry by storm with her genre of music.

‘It’s going on very well. We’ve just started with the promotion and already it getting a lot of reviews on Youtube and many people are using as their ringtone on Vodafone, MTN, Zain, Tigo and the rest and that obviously makes me ready for the challenge ahead’ she told Yaw Sakyi

‘I’m still learning ad given the opportunity to see things now, it has offered me the best platform to new things as well. My style is soul and I believe the root of music comes from the soul. I like highlife, reggae. I like to infuse soul music and every other genre of music and that makes it special.

Asked whether she feels threatened by the huge presence of compatriot Eazzy, Mzbel and the rest she retorted by saying they were all unique in their own ways likewise her.

‘I think most musicians when you ask them they will tell you they’re unique in the own way. Am not sure what mine would be so different from theirs. I was brought up on different genre of music and because we have different classes of people in society, I dwell mostly on something simple but what can make one happy.

She added: There are people who want to listen to inspirational songs, others about hippop, hiplife and club music but mine is a mixture of all and that makes your own kind of versatile.
