WAYOE REVELS IN B.B.A REVOLUTION EXIT
Ghana’s Representative at the 2009 Big Brother Revolution, George ‘Ras’ Wayoe, says he has no regret after he became the first evictee from the house.
Speaking to Yaw Sakyi on The Rundown, the Web developer says he acquired valuable experience during his 7 days stay in the house. He had for his troubles $ 2,500 from Big Brother – making him the first representative from Ghana to earn that from the fourth edition of the competition.
Wayoe, a former Law Student of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology told viewers about the intricacies and the rigorous auditions that he had to go through both home and abroad before he was selected among dozens of Ghanaians.
Wayo’s seven-day stint in the competition is the shortest ever for Ghana. He entered the show speaking ‘partoa’ and preaching a Rastafarian doctrine for African unity and came under a salvo of criticisms amongst Ghanaians from the day he entered into the competition. Many felt he didn’t represent Ghana well with his Africa union strategy and Rastafarian persona.
But Wayo also intimated on The Rundown that, Big Brother’s idea of a revolution may have gone against him since there were a combined number of 24 housemates this year and so at any point more than one person would have to be eliminated.
The Rastafarian believes he came out of the game too early without showing Africa what he has to offer. He however hopes to make the most out of the opportunity that the show has offered him and he would like to keep ties with the new friends he made while in the house.
